Beersel (Dworp)
A contemporary house, nestled in the rural village of Dworp (Beersel), boasts stunning views across the valley. Built using a concrete sandwich construction, the formwork is finished with a refined plank texture. This method not only provides a robust and enduring structure but also imparts the façades with a warm, natural character that sits harmoniously within the expansive landscape.
The window frames are given architectural prominence and are designed as integrated seating elements on the interior, enhancing the seamless connection between inside and out. The elegant aluminium frames convey a sense of subtlety and lightness, offering a striking contrast to the brutalist character of the concrete.
The house aims to nestle gently within the natural terrain; the patina that will develop on the concrete, combined with the green roofs, will complete the design. It is at once bold and delicate.
